Law of One Study Group Resources

TOOLS FOR STARTING YOUR OWN LOCAL GROUP

Greetings Seekers,

We of the Asheville Law of One Study Group have been gathering together weekly since the summer of 2016 to study the Law of One in community. After completing our first round of studying all of the sessions, we started over with Session One in the spring of 2019. Our Law of One community here in Asheville has evolved into a rich tapestry of humans who support and celebrate each other as we travel the seeker's journey together.

We have created a few resources that have contributed to the success of our gatherings and that we are happy to share with you. You are welcome to use them in any way they might serve your purposes:

Law of One Intro Video

We've created a 2-hour Law of One Intro video presentation. We make this video available to newcomers and people interested in joining the study group as a way to orient and get quickly acquainted with the material.

Study Group Culture Video

We created a video that describes our group norms, format, and culture. There are some key aspects to our study group that complement the actual study of the material — ones that have created such a strong group and such a deep sense of community. Feel free to take inspiration from anything that resonates for you.

Session Descriptions

We have created a series of one-page flyers that encapsulate each session we have covered in our group so far. They include a brief synopsis of topics covered in each session.

Facebook Page

We also maintain a private Facebook group — a primary resource where we coordinate our meetings, share info, and stay connected between our in-person gatherings.

There are a few other things that stand out as key elements that have helped our group succeed.

First, we make a concerted effort to facilitate discussion and elicit insights and understanding from the group — and not fall into the role of "teacher." This creates a very holistic and circular environment where everyone's perspective is welcomed and honored.

Second, we spend a generous amount of time each week to go around the circle and check in by speaking our name into the circle and sharing whatever highlights, stories, challenges, or successes from our path, our life, our spiritual journey are alive for us. This has proven essential in building the trust, transparency, and shared understanding that has now blossomed into a community of dear friends. A true soul fam.

Third, we struggled to strike a balance between remaining open to newcomers while also honoring the dedication and commitment of regular members. We did successfully remain an open group throughout our history — but it required setting helpful boundaries and articulating certain protocols to newcomers to support the integrity of the ongoing study. (See the culture video for details.)

Feel free to reach out any time with follow-up questions or requests for clarification.

Much love and light to you,
The Asheville Law of One Study Group Facilitator's Circle

Intro Video

This two-hour video, created by our team, outlines and explains the main topics and ideas from the Law of One.

Study group format.

Starting in 2023, we began a brand new online format for the study group. We meet via Zoom, in order to include seekers and students from anywhere on Earth who would like to participate. And starting February 2024, we began a collaboration with fellow study group facilitators: Peggy Lester and Greg Holden.

We have a special email list created by Greg and Peggy that all study group members are welcome to join with this link.

Meetings are co-facilitated by TOTOH Academy faculty member, BJ Harden Jones. They take place every first and third Sunday 10:30am-12:30pm, Eastern time. Use our calendar as a handy reminder of our on and off weeks.

The Law of One Study Group is open to all dedicated seekers and students of Ra.

Meeting Recordings

Recordings of the study portion of previous meetings are available for replay on our Youtube channel. (Our meetings are no longer recorded.)
